Wedding Photography Frequently Asked Questions

Browse answers to the most common questions about our Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan beach wedding photography — from packages and pricing to booking, weather plans, and how fast you receive your photos.

Packages & Pricing

Learn how our Gulf Shores beach wedding photography packages work, what is included, and how to choose the right coverage for your beach wedding, destination wedding, or wedding with reception coverage.

We offer several beach wedding photography packages designed for different types of weddings, including one-hour ceremonies, two-hour beach house or condo weddings, and three-hour packages that include both ceremony and reception coverage. Each package includes professional coverage, edited high‑resolution images, and print rights for personal printing.

You can see details and current pricing on our wedding photography packages page .

For many Gulf Shores and Orange Beach beach weddings, a one-hour package is enough to cover the ceremony, family group photos, and bride and groom portraits on the beach. If you want getting‑ready photos, extra portrait time, or reception coverage, one of the two‑hour or three‑hour packages is usually a better fit.

We are happy to recommend the best option once we know your ceremony time, location, and how many people will be attending.

Every wedding photography package includes professional beach wedding coverage, edited high‑resolution digital images, a private online gallery, and print rights for personal printing. Most packages also include time for family group photos and sunset wedding portraits along the Gulf Coast.

Some packages add extra hours, multiple locations, or reception coverage so you can choose exactly how much coverage you need for your wedding day.

Yes. We offer separate engagement sessions and bridal portrait sessions in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area. These sessions are a great way to create extra portraits before the wedding day and can often be added to your wedding photography package.

Reach out through our contact page and we can talk about dates, locations, and how a session can work with your wedding day coverage.

Booking & Availability

Find out how to check your date, reserve your time, and what you need to know about retainers, contracts, and payment for your beach wedding photography.

The fastest way to check wedding date availability is to contact us with your preferred date, ceremony time, and beach location. You can use the form on our contact page to share the details, and we will reply with availability and recommended coverage options for your wedding.

Once we confirm that your date and time are available, we will walk you through the booking process. In most cases, your date is reserved with a signed agreement and a retainer payment, with the remaining balance due before the wedding day.

We will send all the details in writing so you know exactly what is included in your beach wedding photography package.

For popular months and sunset ceremony times, we recommend booking as early as possible, especially if you are planning a weekend Gulf Shores or Orange Beach beach wedding. Some dates book many months in advance, while weekday dates often stay more flexible.

If your date is coming up soon, it is still worth asking — we may have last‑minute availability or alternative times.

In many cases you can upgrade your wedding photography package or add extra coverage as your plans become clearer. If your ceremony time or location changes, we will help you adjust the coverage so that you still have enough time for ceremony photos, family group photos, and sunset portraits.

Just contact us with your updated timeline and we will review the options together.

Wedding Day & Coverage

Learn how we approach beach wedding photography, what we photograph during your ceremony, and how we handle family groups, sunset portraits, and reception coverage.

Our goal is to create natural, relaxed beach wedding photos that tell the story of your day while still giving you a few gentle prompts and posing tips when needed. We focus on real moments, flattering light, and simple, classic portraits that look great now and years from now.

After the ceremony we usually move into family group photos and then sunset wedding portraits of the two of you along the shoreline.

Yes. We will guide you through simple, flattering poses and help organize family group photos so the process feels smooth and relaxed. Before the wedding day you are welcome to send a short list of “must have” group combinations, and we will work from that list on the beach.

Our goal is to balance traditional posed photos with candid, natural wedding moments.

Yes. We regularly photograph weddings on the public beach, at beach houses and condos, and at local Gulf Shores and Orange Beach wedding venues. Some packages include coverage at two locations so we can photograph getting‑ready photos at your rental and the ceremony on the sand.

Absolutely. Several of our wedding photography packages include time for reception coverage at a second location, and we can often add extra reception coverage by the hour. Reception coverage typically includes grand entrances, first dances, cake cutting, toasts, and open dance floor photos.

Visit our wedding photography packages page for more details about packages that include reception coverage.

Photos & Delivery

Answers about how many photos you receive, how fast you receive them, and how your beach wedding photos are delivered and backed up.

The exact number of photos varies with the length of coverage, number of guests, and how much is happening during your wedding. In general, longer weddings and weddings with reception coverage include more final images, while smaller elopements and one‑hour ceremonies include a tighter curated selection of images.

We focus on delivering a complete story of your beach wedding day rather than aiming for a specific number.

Turnaround time depends on the length of coverage and the season. Many smaller Gulf Shores beach wedding packages are finished within a few days, while longer weddings and weddings with reception coverage may take a little longer.

We will share an estimated delivery time when you book and keep you updated if your wedding falls during a very busy season.

Your wedding photos are delivered in a private online gallery that you can view, download, and share with friends and family. From there you can download high‑resolution files and order professional prints if you would like.

We recommend downloading and backing up your full gallery soon after delivery so you always have a safe copy of your beach wedding photos.

Yes. All wedding photography packages include print rights for personal printing. You are welcome to make prints for your home, family, and friends, and to share your images with proper credit on social media.

Weather & Backup Plans

Beach weather can change quickly. Here is how we handle forecast changes, rain, wind, and backup plans for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach beach weddings.

Coastal weather can move through quickly, so we usually keep an eye on the forecast and stay in touch as your wedding day approaches. Light rain may pass before or after your ceremony time, while heavier storms sometimes require a time adjustment or moving the ceremony under a covered area at your beach house, condo, or venue.

We will work with you and your planner to make a practical backup plan and still create the best photos possible in the conditions we have.

The most flattering light for beach wedding photos is usually in the hour before sunset, when the sun is lower and the light is softer. Morning light can also be beautiful and less crowded, especially during the warmer months.

When you contact us about your date we can suggest ceremony times that work well for beach conditions and sunset wedding portraits.
