FAQ

If you’re looking for a Gulf Shores wedding photographer, these are the questions couples ask most often

How much does a Gulf Shores beach wedding photographer cost?

The cost of a Gulf Shores beach wedding photographer depends on how much coverage you need, the location of your ceremony, and whether you want simple elopement beach wedding coverage or full wedding-day photography.

Our Gulf Shores wedding photography collections are designed for beach weddings, elopements, and destination celebrations along the Alabama Gulf Coast. Most couples reach out for a custom quote based on guest count, timeline, and whether the wedding is in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, or nearby coastal locations.

What is the best time of day for Gulf Shores beach wedding photos?

The best time for Gulf Shores beach wedding photos is usually starting one hour before sunset. That way we can shoot on into the beautiful sunset on the beach. At this time of the day, during that one hour before sunset the light is softer, more flattering, and easier to work with on the beach.

For most couples, sunset coverage creates the most romantic beach portraits and more comfortable conditions than midday sun. When building your schedule, it helps to plan the ceremony time around lighting, weather, and the direction of the shoreline at your location. In the summer months it can be very hot in the afternoon.

How long does it take to get our wedding photos back?

Wedding photo delivery times vary, but turnaround is one of the most common questions couples ask before hiring us as their photographer. We edit your photos as fast as we can. Sometimes as fast as within 72 hours. It really depends on how long your wedding coverage was.

If you had a one hour beach wedding photo package, it will most likely be finished within 72 hours or sooner and posted online for you. If it's two to four hours, it may take a few days longer.

Do you photograph beach weddings in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach?

Yes — we photograph Gulf Shores beach weddings, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan, and nearby Alabama Gulf Coast locations.

We work with couples planning ceremonies on private beachfront property, resort property, and approved beach wedding locations in the Gulf Shores area.

What happens if it rains or the weather changes on the wedding day?

Beach weddings in Gulf Shores should always have a weather backup plan because wind, passing rain, and fast-changing coastal conditions can affect both the ceremony and portraits.

We help couples stay flexible by watching the forecast, adjusting the photo timeline when needed, and planning alternate portrait options if conditions change. If you need to change your wedding to a different location indoors, we can move to that location with you to do your wedding photography.

Are beach weddings allowed in Gulf Shores?

As a rule, weddings are not allowed on Gulf Shores public beaches, according to the City of Gulf Shores. The city states that weddings may be possible with permission on private beach house or condominium property, and Gulf State Park offers wedding options where a permit is required.

Most weddings in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area are done at either a beach rented house or at one of the Gulf State Park locations. Some may also be held at some rental condos on the beach. You generally have to get permission from the condo to be able to have a wedding on their beach area. We have no problem photographing at any of the locations, and we are permitted and licensed to work at the Gulf State Park locations.
